Student assistant positition for students of the first generation
Do you come from a non-academic home (so-called 1st generation students) and would like to do academic work during your Bachelor's degree at the University of Cologne?
Are you a professor or head of a junior research group and would like to support the academic higher education of a 1st generation student through an initial employment as a student assistant?
Then apply jointly for the financing of a student assistant (SHK). The SHK positions have a scope of 9.89 hours per week (43 hours/month) and are funded for a maximum of two consecutive semesters, starting in the winter semester 2023/2024.
The aim of the programme is to facilitate access to the science system for students who who come from a non-academic home and studying for a Bachelor's degree programme or a degree programme with the aim of taking their first (state) examination, and to strengthen their motivation for an academic career by linking them to a chair/research institution/ junior research group at an early stage. At the same time, the financing of the studies is supported by a study-related activity.
Application 2023
Applications must be submitted jointly as a tandem (student and professor/early-career researchers) until 04 Juny 2023.
